Fort Chip, Alberta

Of course here every day is like being in the fast lane...

I have had a hectic day today, after waking up at the crack of dawn about 9 am I made coffee in record time and drank two cups along with a cinnamon bun, while having breakfast I talked to Cheryl, then got ready and met Brian Dobko (a teacher) at the Archie Simpson Arena and we worked out for fifty minutes, he for a little longer, maybe double the time, but that's just rumour.  I quickly had to dash home, have another coffee, read my book, cut my nails and rush over to the volunteer fire fighters open house at, of all places, the fire station beside my place.  They were barbequeing and I warned them about the open flame and carbon monoxide inside the station, but they didn't listen, just handed me a hamburger.  I sat in the fire truck and made a very quiet siren sound so no one could hear and if they did I would blame the kid sitting beside me I wasn't going down for that rap. Are you with me I did all of this in just 4 hours.  I then rushed home convincing myself that my favourite show, "Men of a Certain Age" was on in five minutes well knowing that I do not have cable, but it is a little game I play.  I do however have the DVD set of season one and sure enough in five minutes of arriving home it was on.  My instincts never fail me.  I then did the laundry, three loads, I love the silky softness of downy and the smell of tide and one day I will buy both of those products for my own laundry.  I swept and swiffered the floor.  I then checked my lottery tickets from Alberta and Ontario and I may be another $20 richer which will not quite buy me breakfast here. I made a pot of chilli and talked to Brian Mullally on the phone for half an hour.  I loaded some exciting pictures I took yesterday at the Water front and wondered how many times I can photograph the same area and still be creative.  The answer is three and that was my fourth trip.  I watched a slide show I created with i photo to the music of "You Got a Friend" because I really need one, and saw pictures from the last twelve months. I made another trip down memory lane, took a wrong turn and ended up here. I am in the middle of watching  "Catch Me if You Can" and it is on in five minutes so I have to run...cheers
